Pantone Color Institute has named “Classic Blue” the 2020 Color of Spring/Summer. This Indigo hue has already found its way into the latest fashion and decor, as well as landscapes and outdoor decor. Each year, the Pantone Color Institute releases the 12 colors of the year for fashion trends. These 12 colors seep their way into most industries’ color palette for the year, even for outdoor living. This year, their color palette is going for a sense of “familiar” with the Classic Blue.
For 2020, in the Bright and Bold category, we will find Scarlet Red, Saffron, and Orange Peel. In the Nothing but Blue category, we will find Classic Blue, Faded Denim, and Mosaic Blue. For accents, Pantone has chosen Biscay Green, Chive, and Coral Pink. These colors, paired, will make for an eye-catching landscape design!
You can find Classic Blue in a variety of plants, including Hydrangeas, pansies, Irises, Agapanthus, and Crocus. Picking out plants with various bloom times will allow your landscape to represent the Classic Blue color throughout the year. Call us today to meet with a professional landscape designer.
